Blasted Silver

Today I am going to review and swatch Sephora by OPI new crackle/shatter collection called Blasted. Currently the collection comes in black, gold and silver, I only have the silver one because I always wanted a silver. Retail for $9.50

Both pictures are layered over 2 coats of Essie's exposure.

with top coat
Because of the glitter, I have to say it dries to shiny.

with matte coat
Blasted must be applied to a completely dried nail. If not it will not work as well. Base color Essie's Geranium without a topcoat

I cannot compare it with OPI's shatter since I don't own a bottle but I do think the formula and the effect is very good. Because I have an easier access in to Sephora by OPI, I would buy this product again, especially if there are more colors.

Pastel Cute

Hi again!

I love summer because I have more free time but I am looking for a job atm... Haven't worked in a year so don't really feel like working again but oh well, I need the money :D

As some of you have noticed I finally figured out how to use blog roll and change the design of my blog, finally taking a step up from noob status. But the header is from a One Piece doujinshi... don't remember the name but it was in Japanese so it's not on my computer anymore. But I actually wanted to do this design on my nails so I kept this page but it looks so much better as my header :D

I am once again doing a nail art contest on Youtube for Mimimemeko's pastel nail art contest. I love pastel colors so I really enjoyed coming up with a design to match this theme. I dubbed this design Pastel Cute because I think anything pastel is cute so even if my design ain't that cute, at least the name says it's cute. (LOL)

Video and pic under cut...

On a giveaway side note:

To support another college student blogger and earn me extra points, head to her blog, which her blog is called the college students nails (so cute) and join in her giveaway which ends at 175 followers. At the time of this entry it is at 152, so head there soon!

Fishing Around

Hi everyone!

I wanted to post my entry to Frostingqueenie's four elements nail art contest which I now call fishing around, took me days to come up with a name but I did :)

The contest is to create some that has to do with the 4 elements - wind, water, fire and earth. All the contest rules are on the video, so if you're interested, check it out.

There are a lot of amazing entries so check those out too. I especially like professionalDQ's fire creature (totally reminded me of Calcifer from Howl's Moving Castle, yes I am a huge Hayao Miyazaki fan) and Iluvminehard's fire breathing dragon, it is too realistic for words to describe.

I have received my package from Leanne but because of my currently out of battery camera, I will have to post up what I got later. Maybe even with a new nail art to celebrate me trying out Supreme Nail Art pen for the first time. But I absolutely am thankful to Leanne for the pens and she even added extra nail art goodies. How awesome is that!!

And have you checked out Lingling's contest? Super creative idea of using franken. Thanks to that I did make a franken and am currently thinking of a nail art to go with it. I would post up the franken but one of the rules is to not post up anything related to the contest before it ends. So please look out for it after June 7.

Strawberry

I have always wanted to do a strawberry design but was holding out till summer, because it matches my bathing suit, and now that it is summer, I finally did my version of strawberry. Doesn't it look good enough to eat?

Welcome

This is my first post here. I didn't want to make a blog but I wanted some place to have all my nail art in one place and available to others.

This is sort of an extension from my livejournal so I keep the name sweet delights because besides nail related stuffs, I might add other things which interest me.

Other things I love besides nail art are anime, manga, Japanese drama and anything cute.

So if you have the same interest, follow and read my blog :)

Forgot to mention, I also have a youtube channel: hotgimmick12. I only have a few video up but check it out if you have time.
